A PLEASANT TIME

Author's Personal Collection

"Good Crowd at Moonlight Dance – Over one hundred Santa Cruzans took the special train provided last evening and went to the [Cowell's] Big Trees, where Mine Host Milo C. Hopkins provided good music for a moonlight dance. A pleasant time was enjoyed by the crowd, who came home at midnight. Quite a few of the dancer went up in automobiles and carriages from here."

Though I have some images of the dance floors, unfortunately, I have not yet come across images of attendees at any of the dances at either Cowell's Big Trees or Welch's Big Trees Grove. If you have any or know of any such images, please let me know. Thank you.
